Mark Bocek, a Woodbridge, Ontario native, has been training martial arts since the ripe age of 8.  After receiving his black belt in Kempo Karate, he started training BJJ under Rickson and Renzo Gracie.  He then later moved on to Nova Uniao where he received his black belt through Joao Roque, making him the first Canadian-born BJJ black belt.

In 2004, Mark decided to go beyond Jiu Jitsu and take over the MMA and made his professional mixed martial arts debut in “TKO 15” against Mark Colangelo.  He won by TKO at five minutes of the first round.  Today, Mark has a professional MMA record of 5-2-0 and has just fought his third UFC bout. Liz is a 31 year old mother of two, who studies Pankration and Muay Thai kickboxing at the Kel Lee’s Academy of Martial Arts in Vancouver, BC.  She entered the mixed martial arts scene five years ago, but her love for the sport began at a young age. 

Her first exposure to contact fighting was watching boxing with her father.  From there, her interests expanded onto grappling and other contact sports. 

Today, Liz is one of the few female MMA fighters in Canada and has achieved several sponsors in her support.  She was the first female fighter to compete in both the “Elite Fighting Championships”  and the “Real Fighting Championships”.

Who says women can’t fight?

Mark “Showtime” Wedderburn has been training Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing for the past 14 years.  Mark has added submission grappling to his game plan, making him one of the best new-comers today.

Fighting on his debut night in the Ultimate Cage Wars, Mark showed an incredible performance ending the match against his much more experienced opponent (Brian Constant) in the third round with a rear-naked choke.

Eric Daigle is an amateur Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts fighter, fighting out of Omaha Nebraska. Working very closely under Mick Doyle, Eric has had some impressive accomplishments - ending all of his MMA fights by submission and all of his Muay Thai wins by KO.

In November of 2009, Eric had a big win at the ISCF MMA Amateur Classic Tournament ending victorious as the Lightweight Division Champion. His most recent win was at the 2010 Team USA MMA Fight off in Chicago on January 22, 2010 where he submitted his opponent 26 seconds into the first round via guillotine choke.

Jesse James has been on the competition circuit for over two years now placing in every tournament. Jesse's biggest accomplishment to date was placing 3rd in the Kids/Teens WORLD Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships putting Jesse James amongst the elite kids Jiu Jitsu specialist in the world.

Training out of the Brausa Academy in Tempe, Arizona, Joe has proven his martial arts skills in events such as "Rage in the Cage" "Rumble on the Rock" and "Desert Brawl". With both stand-up and ground skills combined, Joe delivers some of the best action MMA has to offer and is one of the hometown favorites.

Bring on "The Show"

Peni Taufa’ao, know as the “Tongon Assassin”, grew up on a small island in the pacific known as “The Kingdom of Tonga.” 

Later on he moved to Hawaii where he took up the sport of Rugby.   It wasn’t until a fellow Tongon fighter introduced him to the sport of mixed martial arts where he immediately fell in love with it.

Today, Peni trains full time under his coach Mike Malone, and a handful of training partners in Kailua, Hawaii.     

The fight game is big and strong in Hawaii, and Peni hopes to bring more recognition to the island fighters. 

Mike is a 24 year old Wisconsin native who works as a military guard for the Oregon National Guard.  He’s been training martial arts since the age of 4 in various disciplines (such as Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Pankration) and has competed in over 200 tournaments.

In 2005 after serving a 13-month tour in Iraq, he moved to Oregon to pursue a career in Mixed Martial Arts and joined the world-famous “Team Quest” headed by UFC veterans Randy Couture and Matt Lindland.  Within a year, Mike was competing in his first professional MMA event.
