During a Q&A session before the UFC 99 weigh ins, UFC President Dana White said he’s interested in signing Josh Barnett if he beats Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction: Trilogy in August.

Barnett has a long history with the UFC. He’s fought five times in the UFC in 2001 and 2002, beating MMA veteran Randy Couture to win the UFC heavyweight title in his fifth fight with the organization. Barnett, however, was suspended when he tested positive for steroids after the Couture fight and spent the next four years fighting in Japan.

"If Josh Barnett beats Fedor, obviously I would be interested in signing Josh Barnett," White said. "If he beat Fedor, obviously, he's one of the best in the world."

Its too bad Dana White wont pay Fedor the money he's worth to come onboard with the UFC. Sounds like he is waiting for a major upset first (like Fedor actually losing!) so he can low-ball his salary.

At the post UFC 99 press conference on Saturday, Wanderlei Silva called for a rematch with Rich Franklin after suffering a close unanimous decision loss in the UFC 99 headliner.

Silva, 33, was outperformed by 34-year-old Franklin by controlling the whole fight and staying out of Silvas reach. "Once he starts punching, he doesn't stop until things get finished and I know I stood still once in the second round and I got caught. “

Although he landed a few powerpunches on Franklin, he wasn’t able to unleash the beast that we use to see back in the Pride Fighting days where Silva was the man.

This would be Silvas fifth loss in six fights (losing to Mirko 'Cro Cop' Filipovic, Dan Henderson, Chuck Liddell and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson.)

Tickets for the UFC's Aug. 29 event, "Couture vs. Nogueira," go on sale to the general public on Saturday, June 20, at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET), but UFC Fight Club members can purchase tickets Thursday, June 18 beginning at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET).

All tickets are available through the Rose Quarter Online Ticket Office. Tickets for UFC 102, Portland's first UFC event, are expected to move quickly, as the UFC typically sells-out in record fashion when visiting new locales. Ticket prices for the event range from just $50 to $600.

Featuring a heavyweight main event between MMA legends Randy Couture and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, UFC 102 take place at the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore.

Both Couture (16-9 MMA, 13-6 UFC) and Nogueira (31-5-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) will be looking to rebound from disappointing losses in their most recent outings.

Former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin could meet former Pride champion Dan Henderson at a UFC event tentatively scheduled for Jan. 17 at “The 02â€� (formerly "The Point") in Dublin, Ireland.  The tentatively scheduled event was first reported by Yahoo Sport UK &  Ireland.

Chuck Liddell or Mauricio "Shogun" Rua are two other possibilities, however Franklin and Henderson will be the most likely option.

Rich Franklin vs Dan Henderson?

UFC Champion Randy Couture has returned to the UFC signing a new multi fight deal according to UFC president Dana White.  All legal issues between the two have been resolved.

Randy will be returning on November 15^th where he will meet former WWE wrestler Brock Lesnar at UFC 91 taking place in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

White also confirmed that the winner of the upcoming fight between interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Frank Mir will meet the Couture vs. Lesnar winner sometime in 2009 to unify the titles.

There is still no talk about a Randy Couture vs Fedor Emilienko match though.  Sorry guys!

Mark “Showtimeâ€� Wedderburn defeated Neil “Real Dealâ€� Berry (6-5) with a side naked choke at “TFC IIâ€� (The Fight Club) based out of Edmonton, Alberta on March 7^th. 

Berry brought on his grappling game and made several submission attempts, but wasn’t having too much luck.  After several minutes of scrambling, Wedderburn couldn’t quite secure a full mount, but was able to slip in a few some elbows and punches to Berry’s face.   Wedderburn won with 10 seconds left in the first round with a side naked choke.
